J & CE Toth Pty. Ltd.

For more than six decades, J & CE TOTH Pty Ltd has been synonymous with meticulous preparation, refined finishes, and the artistry of heritage painting and wallpaper hanging across the Sydney, the Blue Mountains, and the Southern Highlands.

At the heart of the practice is the Szabo family. Under the direction of Master Painter Zoltan Szabo Snr, a craftsman trained to exacting European standards, and Erzsebet Szabo, the company has built a reputation for excellence since 1994. Today, the tradition continues with Zoltan Szabo Jnr, General Manager, Master Painter, and qualified business manager, who leads the team of six to twelve highly skilled tradesman. Together, they bring an unwavering focus to preparation, precision, and the pursuit of a flawless, enduring result.

In 1988, Hungarian craftsman Zoltan Szabo Snr arrived in Australia with his wife Erzsebet and young son Zoltan Jnr. His skill, discipline, and artistry caught Jim Toth’s attention, and by 1994, Zoltan was entrusted with the stewardship of the company.

From those foundations J & CE TOTH Pty Ltd grew. Zoltan Jnr, who began as a teenager and qualified in 2004, now leads operations - combining heritage craft with modern professionalism.
